Bread and Butter theatre company was established in 1997 as a one man, one pair of underpants outfit and has, over the years, grown into an innovative and professional company that performs at street theatre and community events all over the world.
We have had the pleasure of performing in such diverse venues as the Commonwealth Games, the village halls of Shetland, the Millennium Dome and in May 2010 we entertained the crowds at the World EXPO in Shanghai. Events we have been involved in range from the sublime (Los Angeles Comedy Club) to the ridiculous (organising the Guinness World Records’ “Largest Pantomime Horse Race”!). No matter how big or small the event, we always have a fresh and friendly approach to our work and we like to spoil our customers by offering a variety of characters, therefore providing good value.
As with all Bread and Butter Theatre performances, the strength lies with the performers’ ability to improvise and interact with members of the public, creating an organic, accessible and personal piece of street theatre for people of all ages.
